1. What Farmers Haven is

Farmers Haven is a broker service connecting buyers and sellers of livestock, genetics, and produce in South Africa. We are an intermediary — we do not own the livestock, produce, or genetics listed on the platform, and we are not a party to the sale agreement between a buyer and seller.

2. Accounts

You need an account to submit a listing, and must provide accurate information, including a valid ID number, when signing up. You're responsible for keeping your account and password secure, and for everything that happens under your account.

3. Listings and approval

Every listing submitted by a seller is reviewed by a Farmers Haven broker before it becomes visible to buyers — nothing is published automatically. We may reject, remove, or edit a listing at our discretion, including after it has been published, for reasons such as inaccurate information, inappropriate content, or suspected fraud.

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of what they submit — quantity, condition, health status, and price. Approval of a listing by a broker does not mean Farmers Haven has independently verified or guarantees the accuracy of that information.

4. Enquiries go through the broker

Seller contact details are never shown publicly. Buyers interested in a listing submit a request through the platform, and the broker facilitates the introduction and the deal. This exists to keep the process safe, fair, and accountable — attempting to bypass the broker to deal directly is against these terms.

5. Payments and the actual sale

6. No guarantee on livestock or produce quality

Farmers Haven does not inspect, certify, or guarantee the health, breed, age, quality, or condition of any livestock, produce, or genetics listed on the platform. Buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves — including through their own inspection or a vet, where appropriate — before completing a purchase.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Farmers Haven is not liable for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from a transaction between a buyer and seller, including disputes over price, quality, delivery, or payment. 8. Prohibited conduct

• Submitting false or misleading information in a listing, quote, or account
• Attempting to contact or deal directly with a buyer or seller outside the broker
• Using the platform for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive
• Attempting to interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation

9. Account and listing removal

We may suspend or remove an account or listing at our discretion, including for breaching these terms, without prior notice.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
