What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, South African ID number, and nationality. When you submit a listing, a quote request, or a farmer lead, we also collect details about what you're buying or selling and how to reach you about it.

Why we collect it

• To verify who is genuinely trading on the platform
• So our broker can contact you about a listing, quote, or lead
• To reduce fraud and impersonation between buyers and sellers
• To meet our own legal and record-keeping obligations

Who can see it

Your contact details and ID number are only ever visible to Farmers Haven brokers — never to other buyers or sellers, and never displayed publicly on the site. Listings are shown to the public without any seller name or contact information attached; all enquiries go through the broker.

Where it's stored

Account and listing data is stored with Supabase, our database provider. Supabase does not use your data for anything beyond providing their service to us.

Your rights

Under POPIA, you can ask to see what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, contact us using the details below.
